Velocys is developing processing systems that provide energy and chemical companies with substantial cost savings, improved product yields, and greater energy efficiencies. We are actively forging alliances with industrial partners and obtaining funding from government sources. To date, Velocys has received over $100 million in funding from market-leading partners.
Systems in development, including those listed below, address markets exceeding $5 billion annually.
The Velocys business model is to establish ventures with commercial partners in defined markets. Velocys receives revenues through the sale of microchannel reactor systems, technology licensing, and engineering services, as well as recurring revenue from the sale of catalyst.
In 2008 Velocys, Inc. became part of Oxford Catalysts Group plc, based near Oxford, UK, creating a world leader in intensified synthetic fuels. Incorporated in 2004 and admitted to trading on the AIM market of the London Stock Exchange in 2006, Oxford Catalysts designs and develops specialty catalysts for the generation of clean fuels, from biomass and waste as well as conventional fossil sources.
