Improving Performance
Emulsions are ubiquitous in both industrial and consumer applications, including pharmaceuticals, food products, adhesives, and personal care products. However, many compromises are made in the formulation of emulsions due to the limitations of conventional mixing technology. Microchannel emulsification can tailor processing conditions; thereby, improving the performance of existing emulsion products and opening the door to novel formulations. So, the question is no longer “What formulation will give me the needed properties?” but “What properties are achievable by varying the formulation AND process conditions?”
