The products of Velocys' Fischer-Tropsch (FT) process can be:

  • blended with crude oil to provide an economic route to market.
  • upgraded via hydrocracking and fractionation to produce a range of liquid hydrocarbon products including diesel, jet fuel, naphtha, waxes and base oils for synthetic lubricants. Generally these products are of higher quality (and command a higher price) than those derived by conventional means because they contain very low levels of impurities (particularly sulphur-containing compounds and aromatics).

Velocys works with the proven hydrocracking technology provided by its partners to enable a complete GTL solution.
