Following the launch of our microchannel FT roadmap, Velocys is entering an exciting phase of growth. We have developed higher-capacity reactor configurations designed to enable larger, more cost-competitive SAF facilities and are now focused on scaling this technology for commercial deployment worldwide.

To support this next chapter, we are seeking a Director – Reactor Engineering to lead the engineering execution, qualification, industrialization and deployment of our next-generation reactors.

This role provides technical and program leadership for Velocys’ reactor platform, driving cross-functional execution across Technology, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Commercial and Project Engineering while guiding the continued evolution of Velocys’ reactor technologies.

What you’ll do

• Lead the engineering realization and scale-up of next-generation reactor platforms
• Drive execution across multidisciplinary internal teams and external partners
• Manage technical risk, qualification strategy and development roadmaps
• Build manufacturing readiness for next-generation reactor platforms
• Support first-of-a-kind commercial deployments
• Represent Velocys with customers, investors and strategic partners

What we’re looking for

• Engineering degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Materials or related discipline
• Experience leading development, qualification or commercialization of complex engineering technologies
• Strong program leadership and stakeholder management skills
• Proven ability to establish engineering capability and guide innovative technologies from development through commercial deployment
• Experience in process technologies, reactors, energy, chemicals, refining, SAF, hydrogen or related industries is preferred
